Crap. I got the novel name wrong...

Make it 2027, identical to Homeline/Centrum/Shikaku-Mon, with all that implies parachronically (ie projectors work).

Then obviously, the answer for Centrum & Homeline becomes "Bomb Them!" (Most other crosstime powers probably wouldn't understand the significance of 2027). Their technology is way ahead of Centrum & Homeline, and they are a dangerous and aggressive threat. Breakout is a scary prospect, and is much more likely than on Reich-5.

Interesting how you strain the gnat of The Domination of the Draka always winning, and swallowing the camel of Microworld...

AP Newsline
Dataline tomorrow
Tragedy struck the Science Fiction world today as two giants of the genre, L. Neil Smith and S. M. Stirling, killed each other by bashing in the others head with a desktop and a printer respectively. The two authors were collaborating on a crossover novel. Neighbors reported hearing shouts of "The North American Confederacy always wins!" and "The Domination of the Draka always wins!" just before the double homicide.

Not me, man. I think most Weird Parallels are silly, and have no interest in ever using them.

The Domination is pretty silly, too, but the silliness is disguised better and the Draka make good substitutes for orcs, as long as you don't look very closely at them, or (as in this case) you make them the visible manifestation of a bigger problem.

The Draka world, since it is obviously being manipulated by some sort of super-entity, gets put on the 'avoid at all costs and pretend it does not exist' watchlist.

They would probably not take direct action against it because infinity is deathly afraid of entities with the ability to manipulate whole timelines (and rightly so), unless they have proof positive that the entity is unable to exert extra-dimensional influence (unlikely, but they might be willing to err on the side of 'destroy it' if draka is spreading to other worlds and their idiotic tactics and methodologies are failing because they no longer have the influence of their patron entity).

Infinity in such a scenario would likely use a single decisive surgical strike and then disavow all knowledge of its existence.

Or, if they are desperate enough, they may appeal to known entities with such capabilities. While it definitely fall into the 'do not break unless an emergency' category, I am sure that Infinity attempts to maintain cordial relations with such entities for just such a situation. When dealing with deities, going through the appropriate motions will go a long way, especially if your request is also interesting, since most immortals will probably get dreadfully bored after the first few thousand years or so of existence.

Bah. The Infinite Worlds setting is filled with improbable histories. The Draka setting is no more fundamentally unlikely than one where the Nazis conquer the world.

Too true. Barring ASB the Nazis would be curb stomped by the USSR. Between General Winter, the vigor the Russians fought, Hitler's military incompetence, and the scorched earth policy the Red Army employed when they did have to fall back there was simply no realist way for the USSR to lose. Japan was too tied up in the military tar baby that was China to offer more then a token two front war.

Even if Japan could better concentrate its military against the USSR, there was nothing of significant military value that they would have been able to reach. Russia would have still moved everything west, and ignored Japan until the Nazis were smashed.
