[Basic] DR as Alternate Ability to TK?
Suppose a character with Telekinesis can use his ability as Damage Resistance Force Field +20% and Limited (physical attacks) -20%. Would this count as an Alternate Ability or is it a separate Ability with a Requires Concentrate limitation to reflect that the character has to choose between his force field and his invisible hands?
Also, bit embarrassing, where are Alternate Abilities described again? Can't seem to find the page... |

I would allow it as Alternate Ability, if the character can't use both at the same time and anything that cripples his DR would also cripple his Telekinisis.

Alternate Attacks are described in the Basic Set. Alternate Abilities are described in Powers somewhere.

Alternate Attacks can be switched once per turn as a free action, like a selective fire switch on a gun (or "stun
vs "kill" on a multi-mode ultra-tech weapon). Put something that isn't an attack in there and it takes a full second of Ready to change settings. Even if it's ONLY non-attacks, it still takes the full Ready.
