There must be a step you are missing. I've been using this feature since it was possible to. It's a little overdue, but I think I will create a tutorial video for people to reference. Stay tuned.

When I type in /help - the import NPC command is not visible. If I try to import the file as an NPC using the importchar command, which I wouldn't expect to work, does not in fact work. ;)

So, something is odd about what I have. Note that the command is missing for some reason. :(

I have created a video tutorial which demonstrates the process of exporting characters from GCA and then importing them into Fantasy Grounds. I hope this helps.

The importchar command works just fine, and has veen working from day one. :)

What seems to be missing is the importnpc command, which I wondered if was an issue from the conversion for GURPS, or perhaps something I should ask the fantasy grounds support team about.

Are you following the same process I demonstrate in the video?

That I am.

What is happening is that when I type in the command /Importnpc - it gives me this (See below). Note that when I do the /importchar (which has always worked by the way), it successfully imports the file, and even says where it got it from. But when I do the /importnpc - it doesn't do anything except bring up a list of commands, as if I had typed in an invalid command, or mistyped it. Then, to test my theory out, I went back to the first version of GURPS that I had been using with FG2, before your version came out. I then used the /Importnpc command, and it worked as expected bringing over the NPC.

What I'm going to do next is download a fresh copy of your files, and see if that resolves the issue. I'll keep you posted.

Ok, I went to FG Forums, and grabbed this file (see below):

Latest Release Download

Download latest release from here: http://goo.gl/OoOWu8
(Updated: 16th Feb 2017)

Downloaded it to my machine, renamed the one I had been using, and then copied the downloaded file to the folder where it needs to be to run. Fired up FG2 with the newest download, and did a /help just to see if /importnpc was there in the list or not. For some odd reason, it isn't. :(

Then I tried /importnpc and it failed again.

/importnpc works for me, and is listed right after /importchar in the list of slash commands.

One thing I note in the opening messages is that I am running CoreRPG ruleset v3.2.2

That's a valid point. Make sure you have Fantasy Grounds itself updated.

I'm running 3.2.3 myself.

Thing is? Why would it fail to work with your version of GURPS and the older one still works?

I almost wish I could go back to version 3.2.2 just to see if that makes the difference...
