Default Bastions of Ogre-ness...

I'm a visual guy...I like seeing patterns.

As I presell my set, Barbarians at the Gate, it's interesting to see where the sets are going in the United States. Obviously some states with higher populations will have a higher probability of being represented in the sales, and vice versa. So it should come as no surprise that California tops the list, and by a comfortable margin.

Texas checks in at number 2 (cue the grumbling!), but the surprise state at number 3 is Maryland. Who knew that Maryland was a hotbed of players in the Ogre-verse? (PS...Virginia is tied for 4th and Wash DC has one sale too!).

On the opposite end of the scale, there are seven states that have yet to be represented in the presales: Kansas, Montana, North Dakota, New Hampshire, South Carolina, Vermont, Wyoming, and the mildly surprising Delaware.

I say mildly surprising in that although Delaware is obviously a small state, with Maryland being so highly represented I would have thought there would be some geographic drift. Is it some Mid-Atlantic law that if you play Ogre, you can't live in Delaware and have to live in Maryland?

Just interesting stuff. Congrats, Maryland in representing so well!

I'm moving to WY in a couple months, so I'll be changing my order. That'll move two from the TX column to the WY column. :)

Well, I know that one of the Maryland sales is me. I wonder exactly how many others there are?

I'm moving to Kansas quite soon; I hope I won't leave Louisiana unrepresented. Thank you for the reminder to change my address for backer sheets as well as with SJ Games.

Doesn't the market closely line up with where the folks who build or use killer robots live?

I'm curious how many copies have been ordered in Maryland. 3 of the coppies are mine :-)

That will certainly put WY on the map. Well done, sir!

18 individuals have purchased sets in MD.

Well, that will get KS represented but regrettably, you ARE the sole LA presale. So we're just swapping states (KS in, LA out). You need to encourage your friends to jump on board before you go! I'm gunning for all 50 states...

PM me or email me your new address when you have it; I'll make sure it's updated in the files.

No comment. I will not anger the fine state of TX. (Although Buzzardo is apparently abandoning ship! See above...)

Good question. Which states are those?
