Cheat With Both Hands Without Original Munchkin
I have Munchkin Zombies (+ 3,4 and The Walking Dead expansions) and Munchkin Fu and am planning to purchase Munchkin Apocalypse (with its expansion) and possibly Munchkin Cthulhu as well
Should I plan to buy Cheat With Both Hands too - even though I don't have (and no plans to buy) the original/fantasy Munchkin? I realize the expansion will include a very different back cover to any of my personally owned core sets but I was wondering if this blend was done by anyone else before and if yes, did the different back covers ever become a problem? I could technically buy sleeves and resolve the cover issue that way but I don't have any sleeves right now and that's a ton of cards to sleeve so I'd rather not... EDIT: I have one other question as well: Can I use the Game Changers pack with my core sets as well or is that meant specifically for the original Munchkin? Re: Cheat With Both Hands Without Original Munchkin
Fu, Apocalypse, and Cthulhu all have Classes, so you'd find the Class-related cards in CWBH useful. Fu has Styles and Zombies has Mojos and Powers, and nothing in CWBH specifically deals with those cards. However, there are also monsters and other kinds of cards in CWBH that will work with any set as long as you don't mind the backs being "off."
Game Changers is a combo of four previous expansions. Monster Enhancers and Reloaded will work well with any sets. Fairy Dust and Munchkinomicon change the rules enough that I wouldn't blend them with games you aren't already familiar with. Hope this is helpful!

Re: Cheat With Both Hands Without Original Munchkin
That helps a lot actually, thanks!
Based on what you're saying though, it seems I should hold off before getting either expansion. Game changers especially seems like it will make an excellent purchase once I've become more familiar with the different core sets As for CWBH, I'm still unsure if its worth a purchase. Is there a list of cards (with their uses) for CWBH that I can look through? |

Card text is not available online, but the card list is though you may receive a certificate or security warning when accessing it...
https://worldofmunchkin.com/cwbh/cards.html I believe it will be migrated to the munchkin.game site but I didn't find it there. |

Re: Cheat With Both Hands Without Original Munchkin
Thanks guys!
While the card list is great, until I know what those cards actually do, I have no way to know how many (if any) of those cards will work with my Munchkin collection :( |

Re: Cheat With Both Hands Without Original Munchkin
Sorry. We don't put card text online, per Steve's specific directive. If someone who has the set wants to give GENERAL info (there are X many monsters, Y many Enhancers, etc.), that would be fine.

Re: Cheat With Both Hands Without Original Munchkin
I might have missed some and these are from the Door cards:
Monsters --- 11 Monster Enhancers --- 21 Cheats (Cheat card or something that affects Race / Class / Etc) --- 27 Combat Cards (Wandering Monster or something else affecting combat not an Enhancer) --- 11 Treasures: Cheats --- 5 Item Enhancer --- 11 Items with a combat bonus --- 2 Go Up A Level --- 4 Other Cards (mostly One-Shots / Items with no combat bonus) --- 20 Total : 112 |

Re: Cheat With Both Hands Without Original Munchkin
^^ Now that's super helpful, thank you!
Based on that breakdown, it seems I can def get a good use out of that pack...now just to figure out if I'm fine with having a different back to these cards when mixing with my various sets...hmm tough choice (unless I can get sleeves specific to apocalypse, zombie or fu backs...probably not eh?) |
