ZOMB!eS Apocalypse [IC]

John, Trent, Vincent, and Andre are driving along in rush hour traffic entering an intersection when suddenly the traffic light goes out and BAM a huge 20 car pile up and they all lose consciousness...

Regina is riding along on her motorcycle and is distracted by a huge traffic accident just as she passes the intersection and she turns around to look what made such horrible noises behind her, thinking perhaps she may have caused the accident just as Maria was crossing the street on her bicycle. Maria screams as the motorcycle is about to hit her. Regina swerves and her motorcycle hits a telephone pole, she flies from the chopper and hits her head immediately going unconscious. Maria flips her bicylce and her head hits the concrete with a thud, knocking her unconscious...

Mick is downstairs draining the fluids from a corpse in the morgue. He is looking at something strange he found in the bowels of the corpse (a steel ball? Really?)... just as he is walking around the edge of the table to set the strange steel ball down he slips on some juice that squirted from the corpse leaving a puddle on the smooth slab flooring. He is taken completely by surprise from the slip and his feet come up off the floor in front of him as he falls back hard smacking his head with a grotesque thud and immediately goes unconscious...

Yes, this is where our stories begin... [insert diabolical laugh here]

Some unknown time later everyone wakes up in the head closed injury unit of the hospital with empty IV bags hanging from IV poles next to them, naked except for a hospital gown and a wrist band with their names on it. The hospital is dark, seems like it must be night time or something, there is no light outside the hospital windows either even though the shades are closed. Strange thing is it is eerily quiet, no beeps, no moaning, no groaning, no voices, no footsteps in the hallway, nothing but silence. There is not even hall lights on, its as if the power is out or something....

There are 2 people to a room on this unit, but all the rooms spill into one of 2 parallel intersecting halls on this unit with nursing stations at the intersections connecting the 2 parallel hallways. All the characters find themselves down the same hall towards the end. For informational purposes only they are on the 8-South Neurology Progressive unit.

Regina and Maria are in one room. (Rusty was sent to a relatives house, but there is no way to know that yet, he just seems to be gone. Sorry Maria, no dogs in the hospital, but you should be able to get him back).

John and Trent are in one room.

Vincent and Andre are in one room.

Mick is in a room with some old guy who doesn't look too good...

Trent opens his eyes and looks around. His head hurts but not that much. He says out loud,"Dude what the @#$% happened?!?"

"Old people. Great, the one demographic I don't own in my timeslot."

Mick thinks about helping the old guy, but figures that he shouldn't bother. Still -- his IV bag is empty and he doesn't want problems with that. So he reaches over and pushes the nurses button.

Trent finds himself in a dark hospital room with some other dude across from him snoring away. Trent notices he has an IV line that seems to be attached to an empty IV bag hanging from a pole next to his bed. He is naked except for a hospital gown. The door to the room is open but the hallway is dark. Other than the snoring from the guy across from him in the other bed, the place seems silent.

Figuring that Mick can hear that from where he is, he will call out:

"Nurse, forget him. Some old guy is dying in here."

Mick them goes quiet, regretting saying anything. After all, if the old guy dies he likely would have the room to himself.

He checks his watch to see what time it is. Then, realizing that he has been out for a while, he checks his watch to see what day it is -- and how long he has been out of things.
