Personally: I'm thinking more of the anime _Tiger and Bunny_, where the superhero Wild Tiger's motorcycle is converted into a sidecar attached to "Bunny"'s bike; the sidecar is nearly as long as the cycle it's attached to. (Can't find a good pic of it, darn it.)

Re: Couple questions...
During a Motorcycle meet at Box Hill in Surrey ( South West of London ) about 20+ years ago , saw an Enclosed Sidecar with seating for four children !
Parents were on a Triumph Motorbike and the Sidecar - which was almost like a miniature Caravan - was mounted on left hand side . Door on outside & the kids - aged about 3 to 7 - sat on two seats at either end , facing the middle . It was so large you could hardly see the Bike from that left angle ! Think it was a custom job made mainly from wood ? Nearest I could find was model for two adults one online & those are much taller . See 2nd & 3rd photos down : http://www.steves-workshop.co.uk/veh...ecartypes.html And probably slightly bigger but not as wide as this one : http://www.hannigantrikes.com/produc...ro-22-sidecar/ And this Motorcycle Ambulance is just so cool : https://www.thenewsminute.com/articl...mbulance-63149 Even in the late 1950's when very few families had Cars in the UK , my Mother's Partner recalls four or five member families being piled onto standard Motorcycle-Sidecar combinations . No 'Health & Safety' then ... 8-|

After noting just how unutterably Bad a design the original Ambunaught was, I came up with a couple alternate designs -- one Wagon-based (think of the Caddy used by the Ghostbusters), and the motorcycle for those who really need an ambulance, and really can't afford it. If I ever get around to making my _CW_ website, one of the "episodes" of "43's Truck Stop" will feature that vehicle, and the thought-process [?] behind it. :)

Re: Couple questions...
Oh Gods the 'Infamous Ambnaught' ...
I recall an '80's game , where it was circling the Midville Hospital during Crusaders scenario . After a turn at about 35mph , it hit a Obstacle left from a wreaked Crusader Cycle ... for it to not only blow it's control roll , but also Fishtail into Debris , Skid while attempting to straighten up ... & then to cap it all crash into the Hospital ... ! Caused three breaches ... which was more damage than that building received from all other sources in that game - all put together ! Lol We did question if controlling player 'Johnnie' Walker had been partaking in any of his namesake before the event ! He wasn't too keen to play large CW games for rest of his time at our school . You can see why the Ambunaught was left out of CWC2.5 sample vehicles . We usually use a version of Nightingale MacLaine's custom Samaritan from ADQ 8/2 page 26 . Remove the HDFOJ & add Hubs+Guards & it makes a good 'standard' Ambulance . For a single causality , a Station Wagon Ambulance will probably do a better job . Some of Ambulance models I've seen in London are huge & probably move into the Minibus size category . You can see why they can cost £100,000 to £200,000 ... A X-Hvy Trike could do a better job than that bloody DCWs design ...

Re: Couple questions...
Yeah -- your tale is not the only example of that thing's faults.
What's scary is: The Wagon version I have is maybe 1/2 the cost of the Van; yet has roughly the same firepower and armor, HC 3, *and* unloaded can make Acc. 10. The cycle only carries one casualty; but still has a MG and SS, plus the full complement of Medical Equipment.
