I am the only one who kind of wants the plastic hang tab on the boxes? Also a little sad that I can't get "Sunday Drivers"; I never warmed to the "Crash City" name change.

The change -- back in the eighties -- was a legal thing; there was a trademark issue that forced the name change.

We did not include the hang tab on the new box design because they never worked perfectly and are unnecessary.

Thank you for solving the mystery the name change of Sunday Drivers to Crash City was prompted by legal reasons.

Another legal thing in the 1980s many Car Wars veterans know was "Car Wars" used to be owned by Texas Instruments. The company released a Car Wars video game for its TI-99/4A computer.

In honor of that video game and the 40th anniversary of Car Wars, a Car Wars arena should be released inspired by the configuration of the arena used in the TI-99/4A video game. Dropped weapons, especially heavy-duty versions, would be very effective in that arena's narrow corridors. The widths of the corridors should be increased to make them more survivable when using Car Wars 4E or Car Wars 6E.

It's only been 4 hours about since this campaign became active and it's almost half way completely funded! That's amazing! Here's hoping that this momentum continues and we could reach those stretch goals and unlock some new ones!

I'm very proud to be one of the backers for this project! Great campaign SJG and thank you for making this project a possibility!

Just to be clear - what version of the rules will come with the pocket boxe(s)? Specifically the Car Wars, Truck Stop, Crash City boxes? (I.e. 10 phase turns, old fire rules, etc.)?

These are reproductions of the Pocket Box titles. The earliest versions of the rules before Deluxe, before Dueltrack, before many of the mid-eighties and later changes.

I believe the last version of the rules in the Pocket Box was 3rd Edition, Revised. I don't know if that overlapped with Deluxe/Dueltrack. There were a LOT of minor updates and printings of the core Car Wars products between 1980 and 1990.
