Reminds me of the game I played a lot in the early 70s named "Situation 4" You laid a puzzle map and then used that to play the game. It was an area conquest sort of game with a military focus -- it would be a perfect fit for Ogre.

Love it! Already thinking of map ideas for TFT where as the players explore the dungeon it is pieced together via the puzzle.
And if you could create a manufacturing template where the pieces themselves were hexagons, you could in theory create dynamic or procedural hex maps on the fly.

My wife asked if I could already buy the one shown, though she feels at 500 pieces it's a bit small.
