Well the funny part is that we've been threatening to get him socks for Christmas. It's been an ongoing issue over the last couple of months with him complaining that he can't find socks to wear. (Mostly because he doesn't put them in the laundry like he is supposed to, so they don't get washed, so he doesn't have enough socks, etc.) So we've been telling him, "Fine, we'll just get you a big box of socks and underwear for Christmas. That way you'll always have enough socks to wear." So this morning when he couldn't figure out what his present under the tree was, we were all, "We told you: It's a big box of socks and underwear!" He made a scrunchy grumpy face.

(I mean, what's the point of having kids if you can't torture them every once in a while.)

Now that he's seen and oogled the wrapped box, hide it and replace it with an actual box of socks and underwear. Double the switcheroo content.

That is evil, and something my family would do.

Mom the one year bought my brother a brand new PS2...took it out of the box, filled the box with socks, then wrapped it and put it under the tree. Then she roped me into setting it up and hiding it behind the TV, so that we could do a double switcheroo...first he finds the socks, and when he inevitably storms off to pout, somebody pulls it out from behind the TV and puts it in place.
