Default [WWII] Horch 830B (Kfz 11)

Horch 830 B (Kfz 11)
The Horch Typ 830 was a commercial design fitted with a military body to rapidly motorize the German Army in the late 1920s and early 1930s. The car was used for carrying infantry, towing light guns, communications duties, and for signal troops. Initially, the body was made of wood but was eventually converted to sheet metal. It was produced from 1935 to 1938, at which point it was replaced in production by more standardized military vehicles. Nevertheless, the car continued to be used throughout the war.

The car can carry one driver and three passengers seated in exposed seats with a ragtop (although some versions featured a closed body). The Kfz 11 burns 2.75 gallons of gasoline per hour at routine usage. A full tank of petrol costs $2.55.

Design Notes:
The chassis weight, cost and HPs were increased 50% to increase design weight. Design loaded weight was 4,683 lbs.; this was increased another 3% to the historical. The design purchases a 15-gallon fuel tank, but the historical capacity is shown. Design gSpeed was 80 mph; the historical gSpeed is shown.

I realized after I started that the Kfz 15 is more of a variant of the Kfz 11 than a new design, but here it is anyways as a separate write-up:

Horch 830 R (Kfz 15)
Similar to the Kfz 11, the Horch 830 R was a commercial design fitted with a military body. The design was intended to be a highly mobile command car, melding with the early blitzkrieg tactics at the start of the war. While given four-wheel drive to improve cross-country capabilities, the length of the chassis often proved a hindrance in especially difficult terrain. The Kfz 15 was primarily used for shuttle and communications duties, and as such was fitted with a radio. Approximately 12,000 cars were built from 1937 to 1943. Despite the appearance of purpose-built military vehicles for the same role, the Kfz 15 continued to be used as a staff car and radio car throughout the war.

The car can carry one driver and three passengers seated in exposed seats with a ragtop. (Some photos show three passengers sitting snugly in the rear bench seat). The Kfz 15 burns 3 gallons of gasoline per hour at routine usage. A full tank of petrol costs $4.50.
