Thank you Phil. Coming from you, I take that as a high complement, based on your many memorable collections of characters.

Yes, good point. I'm going to try to keep "core" skills similar, and then let the unique character skills vary all over the map.

Yes, advice on this would be appreciated.

In a brainstorming mode, I came up with some motives, means, escape plans, and secrets for each of the PCs (other than Taggart and CHAN).

Thoughts, additions, modifications, etc are welcome.

The motives:
a. None (i.e., Taggart)
b. Personal (family of a victim of Victim’s crimes),
c. Personal (friends of a victim of Victim’s crimes),
d. Personal (former victim of Victim’s crimes),
e. Professional (Chinese government assassin),
f. Professional (hired Maple Syndicate assassin)
g. Professional (hired Martian Triad assassin)
h. Professional (hired Red Duncanite assassin)
i. Professional (Israeli government Mosad agent/assassin),

Means (to access Victim)
a. None (i.e. CHAN, who wasn't there)
b. Disable AI with a Worm program uploaded from implant/wearable
c. Means to circumvent the suite door security

Weapon
a. Hand-to-Hand
b. Gun
c. Bomb
d. micro swarms
e. Means to suborn a cybershell to do the killing
f. Means to suborn a Bioroid to do the killing

Escape Plans:
a. No plan, wanted to take credit
b. Ship to pick you off of the elevator
c. Elevator maintenance car (not in Penthouse)
d. Was going to go skydiving when closer
e. Were going to download

Secrets to protect:
a. None
b. Any connection to the Victim
c. Location of weapons
d. Location of escape plan items

I appreciate the attempt to keep the list of characters orderly, but assigning them numbers *and* letters of the alphabet seems counter productive. Typically, the closer you stay to the name of the person *as introduced to the audience/players* the better, as long as it is clearly distinct from the others, and alphabetical order helps with so many.

Also, can you mention here where each person's eponym is taken from, and how they are different from the original (other than being a catgirl or a robot)? I only recognize about half.

Not really important, but Morse is about 50% too old to be an Alpha, since the design dates to 2050. And Rebus is about as old as he can be.

Letters and numbers? Actually, the motive/means/weapon/escape plans/secrets haven't been assigned yet. That was just the order I came up with them brainstorming.

By eponym, I mean the character they were named after.

Oops. Good catch on Morse, should be 46 not 76.

Rebus is first wave of main model, or a last wave of beta.

No, the names were just going to be left as Easter Eggs.

I was going to put a few items in (the K10A Magnum was going to have Danger Sense), but most were just going to be names.

Google should get them all. Googling "List of Famous Fictional Detectives" will get all but one.
