Blow through?
I'm not sure if I am still thinking old 3ed but are there still Blow through rules in 4ed - can't find 'em?
If your ST X then the damage from a fire arm with projectiles can only deliver X damage and all the rest of the damage is ignore ie blown through. Of course now with pi-, pi, pi+ and pi++ it may make is a bit more difficult. Any one care to point me in the right direction? :) |

Re: Blow through?
Overpenetration is in the Basic Set, but it only covers how much protection someone you shoot through offers to things behind them. For limits on damage to a target by bullets, you need High Tech p162, Optional Wounding Rules, subheading Body Hits.
(Incidentally, I often forget that that box also has an early[?] form of the severe bleeding rules found in Martial Arts.)

Re: Blow through?
Ok read it but need some clarification:
Overpentration occurs when the basic damage ie dice worth exceeds the HP (with exceptions of non flesh organisms etc). Any weapon exceeding the damage of 10 on a normal dude with HP 10 goes straight through. Is it best to note this as the most basic damage an organism can take and then apply modifiers? PI- = 5 damage PI = 10 damage PI+ = 15 damage PI++ = 20 damage If the round has enough 'basic damage in it' it continues onto the next thing that gets in the way. With the application of Armour the projectile must be able to go through the front and back of the Armoured section (in many case DRx2) Here I assume an Explosive projectile would go through a target but not stopping will not explode. Whereas with armour, it can penetrate one side do its basic damage but failing to get through the 'back' armour' it explodes? |

Re: Blow through?
I think what you're actually looking for here is HT162, "Optional Wounding Rules"
