[Fantasy/DF] 150pt Cavalier

Any thoughts on making a cavalier / mounted warrior sort?

Probably 20pts will go toward buying the steed as an ally

Not sure on rest

You could use the 125 point Squire template from DF15 as a starting point. With the Ally [20] that's 145 points.

For a more standard 250 point Cavalier, I would modify the Knight template.

If you're not talking strictly of a Dungeon Fantasy template, then some ideas...

Is the character itinerant or in service to a liege? The latter will have a Patron who will likely provide material support; the former will have more points to spend on him- or herself but will have no support.

A horse Ally is not strictly necessary. You don't always hear tales of a knight's horse as a sidekick. You might just want to get yourself a high-quality warhorse.

Code of Honor is necessary; a Vow is possible. Social Status: the higher, the better. A good Reputation is very valuable.

Riding, Leadership, Tactics, Spear, some version of Sword are all essential. Savoir-Faire (Military) is likely.

The Squire template is a possibility, but doesnt seem particularly well suited around mounted combat though. DF lacks the needed techniques in particular like Cavalry Training and so forth

Just buy them at maximum level, give it an evocative name, and call it a Power-Up.

There is a 150cp template for a Knight - errant in Banestorm p.208 maybe that's a good start.
