Converting Pathfinder Characters
As a general rule of thumb, how many extra character points is being 10th level in Pathfinder worth?
I've been using 10pts per level (including 1st level). Does this make sense?

In my book that would mean that lvl 10 characters would result in around 400 pts characters. |

GURPS starting characters are more powerful to start but level off more then Pathfinder in my opinion.

Re: Converting Pathfinder Characters
I understand the desire for "mechanical" conversion, however I think translating concepts makes much more sense in these cases than translating levels into character points.
While there can be guidelines and guesstimations for doing that, since there's not a true equivalence between both game systems (*), I don't believe in direct conversion rules from Dungeons & Dragons or Pathfinder to Dungeon Fantasy. Anyway, maybe in a case like yours it could be good to accept the guesstimation you like better for your campaign and stick to it for coherence during its duration. (*) In the same way there are no character levels, there's no equivalence between D&D's Hit Points and DFRPG's Hit Points, for instance.

Re: Converting Pathfinder Characters
I would go with 30 points per level. My experience that 5th level D&D 3.X characters (like Pathfinder) are "roughly" equivalent in capability to 150 point GURPS characters. At 10th level character should be made with the DF templates.

Re: Converting Pathfinder Characters
I'm going to go with a "me too!" response, but with a note that if you are trying to translate the level and have it mean something, you will be greatly disappointed. But having played D&D 3.5 at about 35th-40th level, those guys feel like 1,000-point comic book superheroes, with all that entails, good and bad (mostly bad; I find comic book supers boring).

Pathfinder is more generous to all characters, and more generous to non-casters than 3.5, but a little less generous to the top-end casters (clerics, wizards), so it'll come out about the same.

Re: Converting Pathfinder Characters
I played a cleric from level 1 through to 20 on the Way of the Wicked adventure path. That character had close to standard wealth by level and was a fairly standard 20 buy for attributes. I optimised the character a little, just enough to be competent enough to survive the campaign without dying (although I had a number of close calls).
That character was probably roughly equivalent to 50 points per level in gurps terms. I think a standard core rulebook fighter with a 15 buy would be more like 30-40 points per level depending on the degree of optimisation. A Pathfinder wizard with maximum cheese would be more like 80-100 points per level. If you are adding mythic rules on top you are probably looking at another 50+ gurps points per mythic tier.

Re: Converting Pathfinder Characters
Yes, I think I am unusual in that regard. I don't like the Christmas tree effect that is so prevalent in Pathfinder. I definitely don't make full use of crafting feats to get magic items more cheaply. I have even had characters with no interest in treasure.
