This is golden! I was about to reverse engineer these just because it bothered me. Thanks!

I've only run the one demo Discworld game now, I'm sure you've run substantially more. So far be it for me to argue with the Discworld RPG author.

I'm pretty sure tech level skills didn't come up all session, except for first aid. And it required explanation about why it takes more than one turn and requires a first aid kit/bandage.

Drinking rules were important though!

Yeah, but that's a feature of my life over the last 20 years. And I've been comfortable with my TL8 skills. Perhaps TL3 vs TL4 current affairs would be interesting when someone ignores the clacks for news. I'm not convinced players are going to appreciate it for first aid.

Anyway - books out. My solution is to leave it off GCA sheets if I can.

Anybody else with the book finding that the covers don't lie flat because how thin the hardcover is versus how hefty the tome within is?

I don't know if it's an issue with just my copy or something people generally are having.

Mine has a slight curve to it laying flat, but I figure that will work itself out with time. And it's a uniform curve.

Someone should rate it on the warehouse. I didn't see any ratings to know if it was worth getting.

Thank you.

Reviews at other sites -- not posted to these forums -- are far more valuable to possibly increasing interest and awareness of these titles.

Very interesting to read reviews, I have recieved a copy of Discworld too, and I am new to GURPS so I will start by playing something regular.

But, what type of game are GM's planning for Discworld? Something that follows some book? Like a tourist and a failed wizard? Or maybe something like CSI: Ankh Morpork?

According to this thread, people are planning quite a few different games: http://forums.sjgames.com/showthread.php?t=146693
