This is great! Thanks Kromm. I know a really 'odd couple' who don't seem to belong with each other at all, and for the longest time I've been wondering why they're still together. Now I finally realize that they're just hanging together for meta-game reasons.

Sometimes, when I walk down the street, I can hear the dice rolling and see the hexagons.

I suppose you could make a single roll for the editor, as well as one for the entire crowd (whose opinion doesn't matter per se, but shouldn't be blithely ignored), modified by the reaction mods of the losing gladiator, per pages 22-23 of GURPS Martial Arts: Gladiators.

It's almost like someone had that exact rules question before and wrote up some easy rules for dealing with that exact issue.

;)

Psychological research backs you up. One study showed that pictures of less attractive women that were paired with pictures more attractive women were rated by men as being more attractive than if they were paired with a picture of a woman of equal or worse appearance.

How the party interacts would also change how much the numbers change. If the nymph treats the smelly minotaur as hired muscle I'd expect a minimal lowering of bonuses. Treat them as a cherished friend/lover and they will drop more.

There's a restaurant I used to frequent that had 1" hexagonal tile floors. The urge to break out minis was almost unbearable.
