Re: Which abilities are warrior only?
I don't distinguish between fighters (or warriors) and other non-wizards. Nor do I insist that most/all wizards couldn't also be considered "fighters" or "warriors" for most/all rule purposes that use the word "fighter" or "warrior". I don't think the rules really mean to add hard legal meaning to the word.
As for non-wizards, I see only a few abilities from being a non-wizard: * Learning most talents at normal rate is the main (and almost only) one. * Not being detected as wizards by magic that can detect wizards. * Being literate yet able to look at scrolls without possibly setting them off accidentally. I do not think that the use of the word "fighter" in the Berserking rule is meant to exclude wizards from attempting it. It just tends to usually be foolish for most of them, and there is certainly RAW room for a GM to disallow it, since the first words are "Some fighters may go "berserk"", meaning a GM might well deny it to most or all wizards. |
