Re: Physical TFT Components We'd Like to See Offered
I like that idea. I made some "position counters" depicting a person in various positions, and place them on the counter if the unit isn't standing. Positions include standing anyway, picking up something, prone, kneeling, unconscious, and dead.

Re: Physical TFT Components We'd Like to See Offered
more counters that match current artwork for monsters
counters for more weapon configurations combos counters for more typical extra races (elves & dwarves) counters of pregen characters counters of basic dungeon or lair obstacles (tables, armory, altars...) megahexes and although I already bought it, but an extension Phil Reed's Dungeon Challenge cards. A GM screen with ...artwork than spans the entire outside. ...inside has a dry erase blank panels (right) ...dry erase combat initiative grid tracker (left) ...panels of the very basics (combat turn description, options, skill resolution and suggested thresholds for extra dice) |

Re: Physical TFT Components We'd Like to See Offered
Just so there is no misunderstanding, my only relation to SJGames is as a (quite happy) customer, so it is a fan of the game asking the poll question, not someone with any power (save for, perhaps, suggestion) to make anything happen with regard to TFT releases.

Re: Physical TFT Components We'd Like to See Offered
While I agree that counters are indelibly 'TFT' for many, the format does have limitations. If I'm going to spend good money on play-aids, I prefer a bit of an upgrade... hence the desire for deluxe cardboard pawns.
Actual 3d minis might be cool as well, but I've already got far more than I can ever use (damn you, Reaper!). Index-size spell and talent cards would be extremely useful at my table.

I second 3D minis. Would love to have "official" TFT ones and they'd be fine to mix and match with counters in play.

BTW, as an alternative to cardboard pawns there's a product called 'Skinny Minis' that looks promising.

Re: Physical TFT Components We'd Like to See Offered
If more multi-hex counters are introduced I hope they'll keep the standard trick of the current counters.
Any hex next to a "head" is a front hex. Any hex next to a "tail" is a rear hex. Everything else is a side hex.

Understood. Even in the light of this new information, I still stand by my statement about Steve Jackson games, and how they are so connected to their community, and listen and respond to their suggestions/interests.

Re: Physical TFT Components We'd Like to See Offered
These look like a great idea--durable and very easy to store and organize. I wish the art were better; if there were pawns with art like that of Pat Hidy's classic TFT illustrations, I'd be all in, much as I enjoy counters.
