Default OGRE IN ITALY

This is a call for all current and prospective OGRE/GEV players in Italy.

I just discovered this amazing game, and I love it. So, I would like to start an Italian community for OGRE players.

I have the Kickstarter OGRE Designer's Edition, OGRE 6th Edition, and Reinforcements. I backed a couple of Miniature Set 1.

I live in Milan, and I am seeking for games/players/shops interested in letting our amazing country to be invaded by MK V's.

Join the army. This is not a drill.

Don't forget to post in the Gamer Finder forum and to sign up in the database (sticky post at the top of the Gamer Finder forum will tell you how). :)

You'll likely want to get a set of the "Vatican Guards" to properly play them in an Italian setting.

They're in the "Barbarians at the Gate" set:

I did that as a fast as I could! Thanks for the hint, though.

I am looking through the sponsored sheets. Do I get the rules too? I have read that the "Barbarian at the Gate" should provide some rules for light cruise missiles and such.

Yes. Barbarians at the Gate comes with the rules for its units. They're professionally produced and attractive, too.

I did read it, and congrats for your nice review. I am very glad to know it is yours. BATG is my next purchase after 2 set of minis arrive. Then I have to buy the BGG sponsored sheet (for the Ninja, clearly) and some Nihon's unit. I just had a couple of games this weekend. It is very fun. I am involving my brother. He is an old grumpy man but when he asked "Are you saying that we can play with four people?" Me:"Yes". My brother: "but can anyone have his own faction and fight for himself?". Me:"Yes, I have other two faction in that big box over there" My brother: "And what scenario shall we play?" Me:"Pretty easy brother, let's make a take and hold in the center of GEV maps with victory points assigned each turn..." He was kind of impressed, and I think that such scenario would be cool to try. Actually, I am playing more OGRE than x-wing the miniature game by far. Thanks everybody for their advice and help.

Is there any representative/distributor for Italy (Milan) I might contact to help him in organising the next events?

OGRE in Italy deserves much more than what it is getting at the moment!
