Re: FTL 'Fuel' [Space]
No, it's your entering and leaving the wormhole that are events.

Re: FTL 'Fuel' [Space]
At which point you need to be talking about four events, not two.

I did, two at a time.

Re: FTL 'Fuel' [Space]
By implication, yes, but you didn't really tell us anything about them, including what relation you believe those four events have to one another besides the last one being in the past of the first.

Re: FTL 'Fuel' [Space]
I did. IT has to do with Special Relativity and light cones. The first pair lets you jump outside of your own light cone. Special Relativity allows you to change the order of that jump. And the second pair jumps you back into your past light cone.

Anyway, a simple counterpoint: A traversable wormhole is also traversable by light. Consequently, before you pass through the wormhole your future light cone contains both ends of the wormhole. In the entire trip, you never actually go outside your original light cone at all. Wormholes aren't the same as jump drives. (Unless you're able to conjure them up on demand reaching to points outside your light cone, of course. If you can do that, they're pretty much the same as jump drives.)

Re: FTL 'Fuel' [Space]
You are traveling faster than the speed of light in flat space, because the space isn't flat.
