Re: About "Rocks fall, everyone dies"
Yes. The normal rules for death apply. If you are dead, you cannot receive cards, so you cannot loot.

In fact, this exact situation was the impetus for spelling out that rule explicitly.

Re: About "Rocks fall, everyone dies"
I have an interesting question about this card and an epic bug. If I remember correctly, an epic bug has regeneration and can't die because of bad stuff. Could an epic bug survive this card killing off the party?

edit = After looking at the bug race again, I realized that the epic ability is to not lose levels to bad stuff, death can still happen. Last edited by EpicBlake; 09-07-2013 at 08:03 PM. Reason: Correction about main example. |

Re: About "Rocks fall, everyone dies"
Now I have a different situation for my previous question. Let's say I am a Mystic from Super Munchkin, can sacrifice a level instead of dying. I am in combat and lose, the monsters bad stuff is death. Could I play Rocks Fall, Everybody Dies and still use my ability to avoid death while everyone else dies?
I am more leaning towards that they wouldn't die because I didn't die, but not 100% sure since I am using a class ability to change the bad stuff outcome for just myself.

Re: About "Rocks fall, everyone dies"
I'd agree with you that the other players would just lose a level if you choose to use the Mystic ability to save yourself. You need to die to be able to trigger the death side-effect of Rocks Fall, and you lost a level instead of dying, so that doesn't happen.

That's what I was leaning towards and will use that ruling, unless Andrew or Munchkin Man has some logic that says other.

Re: About "Rocks fall, everyone dies"
Clipper, why do you think the others would have to lose a level? If you used the Mystic ability to avoid death why would the "Rock Falls Everyone Dies" turn into "Rock Falls Everyone Loses A Level"? Avoiding Death from a monster's bad stuff using the Mystic ability should have no effect on the rest of the party through RFED.
