Re: Did the forum change styles?
My apologies for the wall of text! The main problem is where you are asking people to read both black and white text over a brown. This happens with the navigation elements, so it is a significant impediment for many people with color vision deficiencies.
TLDR: please consider replacing

Re: Did the forum change styles?
I'm still using the Classic skin, and I just noticed that Fnorded text (i.e. supposedly invisible text, being in the background colour), is now visible as white text. Is it possible to define it separately for each skin?
The owls are not what they seem.

Re: Did the forum change styles?
I gave it a few days, then switched back to the old with a sense of relief. I think this comes under "users always hate change" rather than any virtue of one or the other set of colors.

It's not as migraine inducing as it was, but even with the changes, it still requires too much focus and strain to navigate and read. The thread and post links are just too similar to the background colors and sometimes just blend in. This has been pointed put several times by others but the designer of this scheme shows no desire to fix this issue so why use something that is still so broken? If it wasn't for the ability to change to classic colors, I would probably stop coming on here all together. |

Re: Did the forum change styles?
The new scheme is far too bright for me. I used the color scheme chooser in the lower left to go back to the old forum colors, but they still seem to be brighter than they used to be, and the page for typing a message has the new scheme for the box around the message.
ETA: Coming back to it a couple days later, it seems normal with the old color scheme from the color scheme chooser. I think my perception was off because of the brighter version.

Re: Did the forum change styles?
While I will not go as far as Mr Draco and say that I will stop coming with the new scheme, this site would drop to once a week, if I have time. The new scheme is still painful to read, If this was my first visit, I would not be back.
