So assuming the empty weight of 48 tons is correct, that would give a vehicle strength/hp of 190 and require almost exactly payload 200 to account for the 72t of useful lift.

Any comments on the price? I'm not sure how to convert 2.5m in 1935 dollars to gurp$.

You could try an inflation calculator. Perhaps like this one......

I beleive we had 2.5 million in 1935? Punch that in and set the other number to 2004, the year 4e was published and you get $34,470,802.92.

Thank you. I used this page to convert the $2.5m into (arbitrarily) 1994 dollars, but I couldn't remember which year constitutes the gurps standard. I see that it is 2004. I'll go ahead and round that to $34.5m
