I've got a few issues of Analog from the 1990s. The stories weren't the caliber of older issues, but the science fact articles were still excellent.

I Also have some of "The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction", random issues from 1990s to 2007. About 75% of the stories were urban fantasy. about 2 of the 7 were sci-fi. I like sci-fi , but I think the proportion of sci-fi to fantasy that they receive as submissions is low.

I love shorts from the 1940s through 1970s. I actually wrote screenplay adaptations of several for a project. A few animators took the screenplays and made Lego animations. My favorite is Fritz Leiber's "Mariana". This was animated by a guy in Australia named Connor Waterbanks in 2015.

Someone also animated an adaptation of Arthur Clarke's "The Nine Billion Names of God" but I wans't happy with how the audio turned out.

Ooh, thanks for that. JDownloader grabbed everything from that site in a matter of minutes... apart from 1969. For some strange reason, the whole of '69 had to be downloaded manually.

Odd that.

So "paging through" those old Analogs at that website, you'll note Ogre first appears in an Metagaming ad in June 1977 -- which I think was also the first Metagaming ad in Analog. G.E.V. first appears in July 1978's ad.
