After scrubbing some rust of my recollections, I remember encountering a similar difficulty when printing a paper model. I printed a copy directly from a pdf on a web page, and when I went to reprint couple pieces from the downloaded print pdf, there were very slight differences in part sizes.

I believe the key here may be to use the print version of the PDF.

I'll try both, see how they work and report back.
