Look, if people are thinking that strength's the only statistically significant difference between men and women, and that class and racial differences are non-existent, they're simply wrong.

Strength difference is the easiest to measure and demonstrate, and the
greater in magnitude too. Men are +50% stronger than women.

What I'm trying to show is that the guys who talk about giving male characters free extra strength

Wrong. There is no freebie, women get compensatory points for lower strength base.

they don't really want a "realistic" game. They want a game that looks like an action movie. Because if they wanted a "realistic" game, then they'd put in other gender/race/class differences, and they'd have 85% of people have some version of the Pacifism disadvantage. Yet they don't.

Speak for you. No one questioned that pacifism is a valid disadvantage
for the average person. I included it in my average joe templates
since an old usenet discussion.

I think you missed the links I provided, Luther. If the results of studies by universities aren't "facts", I'm not sure what facts are. In any case, this is a post to an internet message board, not a doctoral thesis.

In GURPS, people who fall over or bash into each-other take the same damage, proportionally, and are thus as likely to injure themselves seriously. So, if some group of people get less injuries, it must be because they have higher DX.

That's particularly twisted logic. DX has lots of effects, avoiding injury isn't even a major one of them. Inferring higher DX from lower injury rates in athletic competitions is, to put it mildly, not at all reasonable.

Wow. You boys are so funny. As an actual woman, I have no idea what to make of all this...silliness. It has provided a humorous diversion for the past 20 min. All in all, I have say that if it's in the name of fun or in a basic NPC template...where's the harm. Don't take it too seriously. I'm not offended, and any woman who games with mixed groups shouldn't be either. We expect guys to stick their feet in their mouths occasionally. :P

All I can say is that if some GM decided to stick my character with lower strength, I'd take it, sure -- and then I'd take Bloodlust. If by chance I get someone down who was after me, then poor little weakling me is going to keep that someone down. Permanently.

(This was a funny thread to start. Now it's a re-tread of another thread, and it's grown between boring and actively offensive, with a dish of borderline flamewar. Which I strongly suggest should have water dumped on it.)
