Steed Enhancers with no target
I searched and I couldn't find the answer.
Can you play a steed enhancer 'tapped' when you don't have a steed to get it out of your hand? |

Re: Steed Enhancers with no target
Please bear in mind my answer only comes from the last few games we played and I DID NOT look up the answer:
In my house, I allow Steed and Ship Enhancers to be carried sideways only if we can determine (majority rules) that they were built elsewhere and could conceivably be "carried" to the Steed or Ship. (Also, Munchkin does not use the term "tapped." Just "turned sideways.")

Re: Steed Enhancers with no target
I've seen rulings on this one. You can keep them carried when they aren't attached to something, provided that they are Items (most, if not all, are). You can't voluntarily stop using them while they are attached to something (unless you decide to stop using the Item they are attached to of course), but if they have a condition of use (e.g., Usable only by X) and the condition doesn't apply at a later stage, they no longer apply their bonus.

Cool, glad I played that one right.

Re: Steed Enhancers with no target
So far as I know, the term "tapped" is not one we can use, nor does turning an Item sideways reflect what the term means. "Tapped" does not mean turned sideways, it means "used up," especially in that other game. An Item turned sideways in Munchkin is not "used up," but "not being used at all."

Re: Steed Enhancers with no target
Yes. That's a new ruling. I think there's a Cheat! ruling tied to that, as well.
