Gary: If I pre-order two, can I specify two different shipping addresses? No biggy if not, as I'll just forward the second to my friend if need be, but it would be handy. I'd happily pay the additional shipping and handling, of course.

Just place two orders (because you will need to pay shipping twice for two different addresses). In the special instructions of the second order, tell us the actual address you'd like that item sent to.

I'll make sure it gets sent to the right place.
