New RPG stuff?
I'm in the mood to buy myself a belated birthday present and that usually means rpg stuff.
The safe and sure to be a good choice in the long run idea is to buy digital copies of old favorite physical books that are starting to fall apart. This would mean that I did not have less cool stuff in the future. However it doesn't give me more cool stuff right now. So, what do you think is the coolest new rpg stuff right now?

Trudvang is a great world drawing on traditional German and Celtic Folklore. The rules are... not my favorite, but it can always be converted to some other, more generic system...

Re: New RPG stuff?
I would buy RPG board games, especially those that come with props that can be employed in a variety of settings and systems. I just bought Star Wars and Magic the Gathering RPG stuff to expand and reinforce the campaings I just made for GURPS, but I also enjoyed the "materials" by itselves. On the other hand, there's a good board game called "Betrayal at Baldur's Gate", it is very dynamic and has good replay value (the painted minis that come with it are very cool too).

Re: New RPG stuff?
I want to thank everyone who has contributed so far and it it would help anyone calibrate what I might like or dislike soem nice people in my gaming group came up with links to Quickstart versions of the Modiphius Conan and John Carter games after I mentioned being tempted by any game about Carter.

I find it abstract, indirect and opaque. <shrug> It may suit one of you though. If you wanted just a little taste the mechanism they use to handle John carter's leaping ability is aTalent called Leaps and Bounds. What this enables Carter to do is to at the start of any round jump from the Near Zone to the Far Zone by expending one point of Momentum. Does this mean he is able to jump 3x as far as a Martian? I can't tell.

Re: New RPG stuff?
<checks> They do indeed but I don't know how to fix them. Perhaps I can copy from the correct page directly rather than from when the link was emailed to me.
https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product...rt?cPath=31606 https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product...also_purchased <shrug> If that doesn't do it the matter has exceeded my very limited cyber skills.

They work, or at least, the pages they take me to look plausible.

Re: New RPG stuff?
Does anybody have any experince with Amazing Adventures from Troll Lord Games? It's on sale at drivethru.rpg through Friday with a $5 corebook, companion and bestiary.
It's a pulp game based off of the Castles and Crusades Siege Engine system. From my knowledge of Castles and Crusades (and I may have played a short campaign of it) it's an OSR/emulation of 1st ed D&D and I am not at all nostalgic for D&D1e. I am however easily tempted by pulp. $5 might not seem like much but I am trying to avoid spending that on a system I will read once and then never open the file again.
