Default Digging through the Treasure discards

This came up in a game recently.

Let's say that I have a Valuable Coupon that allows me to go through the treasure discards to find a combination of items worth up to 1000 GP. When I am doing this, can I also take items that specifically say "No Value"?

Asking since they are items per the rules (since they have an explicit value stated) and this is not explicitly disallowed by the card. Our ruling at the time was that they could not get "No Value" items, but not sure that it was the correct ruling.

Items that say "No Value" have a printed value of zero Gold Pieces, and so any number of them can be used for any purpose with a total Gold Piece value. And yes, this is a pretty glaring loophole . . . but we're going to leave it open regardless.

It is a pretty great loophole. Another man's trash is a munchkin's treasure.

I'm posting here because that was also a "going through the discards" topic, sorry if offtopic, but didn't want to start a new thread if not needed. A few weeks ago I had a thread about the "Attic" card, and Andrew promised to get back on that subject and then proceeded to close the thread. Is there any news there?

We'd really prefer that you not bring irrelevant discussions into an ongoing thread. If you must ask about a closed topic, PM or email is the best way to do it. (And no, no decision yet.)
