Default RoS to 4e conversions.

Maybe I'm a masochist to want to do something like this, but ... here's my first attempt (hopefully not my last) at bot conversions:

Addition: Special thanks to Rev_Pee_Kitty for helping out with some of the sticky parts in simulating Nanoburn. :)

If you're a masochist, then I'm perverse for enjoying the show.

Comments:
* The chameleon system should be modeled with the Chameleon advantage rather than with Obscure - it hides only the robot, rather than interfering with all of the user's vision in that area.
* It's "razorgun," and the Acc is almost certainly too high by 4e standards.
* The nanoburn sprayer should not have Limited Uses except if further modified with Reload (probably Slow, in this case, for -5%).
* Should nanoburn be a corrosive attack instead?
* The advantages aren't in any logical order, so I'm not confident it's not there, but Detect (Signal Detection, Radio; Vague, -50%) probably ought to be included.
* Cannot Float is a quirk (p. B165).

I'm not familiar with the subject material, but Obscure is more of an absolute, and usually better for sci-fi "cloaking" devices. Chameleon is just a bonus to Stealth skill, and thus can be seen through by anyone with a normal contest of perception/stealth.


The Stealthy enhancement makes Obscure it more chameleon-like, and removed the visible boundary.

Making the changes to the template as I write this. I cannot believe I missed the Chameleon advantage. I totally forgot about it. ^_^

Nanoburn issue: The Nanoburn description on page 70 of robots seems to imply heavily that it's just a nanotech version of nerve gas with a few bells and whistles (ie: it can't be neutralized by standard nerve gas counter agents), so I'm going to stick with toxic. :)

As to the reload issue, I left it without the reload thing as I figured reloads aren't redily avaliable without having to return to a Contruction Shack or Robofac complex.

Razorgun Acc issue: Can't say I was big into the modern weapons in 3e. What would be the right acc to use for it under 4e?

Detect issue: Is the detect meant to simulate the IFF transponders they have, or something else? If so, I added it as a perk, (like with the lock pick thingees) as I wasn't sure how to build it and didn't see it as a huge advantage.

Fourth Edition missile weapons have about half their 3e Acc values, except for muscle-powered weapons which have pretty much been left alone.

Note also that lasers changed pretty drastically from 3e. The laser carbine probably ought to do 2d+4 (2) burning damage (I'd round to 3d) with RoF 1. You're also missing the Accurate enhancement, which should be +45% to match the laser weapons in Basic.
