I like that approach. Each card is therefore self-contained.

Option cards are a sort of rearrangement of a chart of combat options. Rather than looking down a list, you shuffle through a deck of cards. That shows you all the things you can do, and gives you a summary of what each particular option requires and allows. And you can leave your choice face up on the table to remind you of what you picked. Whether or not you prefer that form factor to a sheet of paper with a table on it is one of those matters of taste.

Where are you guys reading about these "Option Cards"? Is there a picture of them somewhere?

Not yet. Just the rough images for proof-of-concept and testing.

Ah. Thanks for the link. Cool. I had an idea for something similar a week or two ago. Each card would have the movement on one side and a list of available actions on the other side.

How about a Flip Card spell? ;)

Edit to add: It's really just a Fumble spell or something similar - just a fun way to think of it.

Spell cards would certainly be worth exploring . . . though not _this_ one. :)

I became interested in this KS when I found out I could get PDFs of Space Gamer and Fantasy Gamer. So I went to the Backerkit page and pre-ordered those two things. I was all set to buy them when I noticedů

Backerkit wants to charge $5 shipping for getting PDFs? And only PDFs?

Yes. There's a base level shipping cost built into the system.

If all you're ordering are existing PDFs, you're better off here:

Ah, guess I wasn't interested in the Space Gamer PDFs the last time I looked at the warehouse. Also, I was under the impression that there was a discount through the Backerkit. Thank you.
