Allies - Summoned with an Attribute/Skill roll instead of appearance roll?

Basically I want to build a ... Doom/Death/Despair Knight that can channel to summon a small group of undead. I'd like it based on a skill/attribute instead of the appearance roll.

Also, what would it be to have a limitation of a corpse being present?

So give it a 100% base chance of showing up...but also "requires a skill roll". "Requires a corpse" would probably a 10% limitation.

David Johnson has the literal and right way to do it. Expensive? yes. Abusable? no.

The other option is to simply set the roll at the skill level and charge the correct number of points. I'm not sure what you multiply the numbers by if your roll is 13, but I'm sure someone has some sort of house rule covering that...

Wouldn't this be the appropriate place to use Minion: Summonable?

Get summoning. Then buy your frequency of appearance number equal to your skill or attribute level. If you increase your skill or attribute, you increase your frequency as well.

This seems to make the most sense and I followed this.

Dunno about the "Requires Corpse" only being 10% though, looks like about -20% in powers when I saw % limitations (Which I never knew that list existed).

But that's not all that big a difference on Allies.

I'd give at least 20% on requires corpse.. Heck, the reaction penalty of using a corpse as a minion alone would be -4, a 20% inconvenience.
