Mate replication help
Playing a game this morning and a Ghoulfiends card was played which states that no items help against only level to beat. A player charmed the Goulfiends and a Mate card was played. The question at hand is: Would the mated Goulfiends have the same abilities (i.e. no items can help defeat - fight with your level only) or would the mate card just supply a generic same level monster without any inherent bonus or special fighting guidelines?

Special abilities of one monster carry over to other monsters in the fight (because otherwise it is a bookkeeping nightmare). So if you are fighting a group of monsters that includes the Ghoulfiends, you can only use your Level for the whole group. They're nasty that way.
