Default Illuminati repint?

I thought that there had been mention of a new Deluxe version of Illuminati at one point. Was there anything more that came of this?

Along the same line, any chance of a Crimelords reprint?

After more searching, saw the 2018 playtest video. Looking forward to it. This remains in my top 10.

We had copies of the new edition of Illuminati at Gen Con.

The game should be in stores in early September.

How well will this mix with older versions?

Throw it all in together?

Take out the base game and roll with it?

Or not at all?

It is not designed to mix with older editions.

Just got mine, it is gorgeous, the new art is clearly intended to show a new face. I like the new box sized reference cards, those should be handy for new or casual players. The rules have few changes; however, the rule book has half the pages of the original. The Illuminati description have been moved to the above mentioned large cards, the Advanced rules, and bibliography are gone. As are the Government, and Communist Groups. The Media has been added as a new unopposed Group.

I hope to play soon, and see what subtle changes my quick scan has missed.

From what I remember of the playtest, SJ wanted to move on from the Cold War paranoia of the original game to focus on our new, improved paranoia.

There is certainly no shortage of new, improved paranoia.
