What does the 3 mean in Pyramid titles?
Every time I've seen an issue of Pyramid for GURPS 4e--be it on Warehouse 23 or mentioned in a thread--they're always "#3/--", with #3/01 being the first.
I'm guessing that the number refers to the serial it's in, with 2 and 1 being for 3e and 2e respectively. Is this correct? If it is, does that mean Pyramid didn't show up until 2e? That's my best guess. What do you think? |

Re: What does the 3 mean in Pyramid titles?
This is the third iteration of Pyramid. The first iteration was as a print magazine. The second was as a web 'zine (with HTML page based articles). The third, and current, iteration is as a PDF series.

Re: What does the 3 mean in Pyramid titles?
The Pyramid volumes don't line up with GURPS editions exactly.
GURPS 1e: July 1986 (Origins) GURPS 2e: 1987 GURPS 3e: 1988 Pyramid Vol. 1: May-June 1993 .. March 1998 Vol. 2: April 1998 .. Nov 2008 GURPS 4e: August 2004 Vol. 3: Nov 2008 .. June 2016 Before Pyramid, GURPS support was available in a newsletter-style pamphlet called "Roleplayer". |
