Triple-Barreled Shotgun
Can anyone explain the Cthulhu reference for the Triple-Barreled Shotgun (or the joke behind it)?

Re: Triple-Barreled Shotgun
It's just better than an ordinary double-barreled shotgun.

Re: Triple-Barreled Shotgun
Yeah, I don't really think there's a reference behind it or anything. It's just a ridiculous extra barrel added to a double-barreled shotgun! I'm not QUITE sure why it's class-restricted, though...

Re: Triple-Barreled Shotgun
Isn't it just one of the lesser used versions of the drilling gun? (I believe more common variations are the 2 rifle / 1 shotgun or the 2 shotgun / 1 rifle.) Must check with gun fan I know to verify that now....

Re: Triple-Barreled Shotgun
It's really just a joke on a double-barreled shotgun. Don't overthink it. :-)

Re: Triple-Barreled Shotgun
I don't know about anyone else, but when I'm facing Shoggies I'd MUCH rather have a triple barreled Shotgun then a double barreled :)

Re: Triple-Barreled Shotgun
All I know is that I had the idea for a triple-barreled shotgun years before Munchkin Cthulhu came out, but now no one will believe that I did because of it. :(
(Granted, I was probably far from the first person to ever think of it, but now everyone just assumes you got the idea from Munchkin.) |

Re: Triple-Barreled Shotgun
LOL ~ It's not overthinking it on my part when, upon seeing the Munchkin Cthulhu cover art, the gun enthusiast in my life spends over an hour on the history and configurations of the drilling ~ excuse me "dreiling" gun. ;)

Re: Triple-Barreled Shotgun
Hmm. I think the Triple-Barreled Shotgun would be useful when dealing with Nyarlathotep (Gnarlythotep?) when he's manifesting as The Haunter of the Dark with its "three-lobed burning eye".
