Default Tomahawk and Nicknames

At the beginning of a recent game of The Good, the Bad, and the Munchkin, a member of my group asked if his character could be named Hawk during the game. Wed never played that particular set before and didnt understand what he was asking. He then played the Tomahawk and insisted he should get the extra points. This is pretty clearly against the intent of the card, but Id like an official ruling so its not just my word against his.

Also, now one of the other players has started occasionally referring to him as Hawk, as a running gag, but still uses the guys real name more often than not. Nobody else calls him that. In order to count as a valid nickname, it has to be in common use, right? Unless nicknames dont count at all.

That said, if hes somehow allowed to get the extra points, Im calling him hamhock from now on.

Default Re: Tomahawk and Nicknames

If he doesn't go by the name in everyday life, he doesn't get the bonus.
