Default Re: Cardboard Hero Bases Too Loose?

Mine fit ok, after fiddling around a bit I might say the coloured bases may be looser. Its 85% humidity and 27°c at the moment.

I only have the black bases that came in the box. Quick test slide each figure (10 chosen at random from both sheets) 3 times per base.

2 of the bases fell off once when picking them up from the table with by the figure.

None were tight enough to leave marks on the cardboard.

About half were firmly gripping the figure (more than just friction).
The rest were mostly friction held, tap the base and the base would slide off at least partially.

In general, I don't foresee problems, but some are a bit loose.

Temperatures: External 19F, Internal 67F, Humidity 85% (no wonder I'm stuffy, that's really high for my area).

My Humongous Spider figure was able to pick up 10 of the 12 bases that came with my set. None were super-tight, but they didn't come off even with shaking. The other two, it slid right out when lifted.

I'm in cold, dry Montreal.

If you don’t want to permanently modify your figure, just adding something to act as shim stock could work. Might be as simple as folding the figure over a third piece of paper.

These aren't foldable cardstock figures. The cardstock is like 1/16th to 1/8 inch thick.

But... your idea would still work to just fold the paper over the base of the figure.
