Re: [DF] A Brief Question
You want good solid historical examples check out the Festival of Dionysus (with a little madness thrown in for good measure), and the cult of Aphrodite at Korinthos.

Re: [DF] A Brief Question
Ahem. We're talking about Dungeon Fantasy here. The series in which "munchkin" is a standard term for a player or PC, all barbarians have Gigantism, and the section on psionics begins "Cheesy psi powers are a hack-and-slash tradition!".

Re: [DF] A Brief Question
Incidentally, that definition misses out the most important feature; a word written thus should always be pronounced as if being spoken by a '70s soul singer with a good bass voice and a flashy stage costume. Always.

Re: [DF] A Brief Question
BTW, here are two threads speaking about this new release: [DF] Clerics and Dungeon Fantasy 7: Attack of the Healbots. There will be more, sure, but right now I'm aware of these.

I'm looking forward to more, but at this point I feel kind of like I did back when I started playing 3.x of "that other game" and they released "Sword and Fist." "Oh no, now I can't wait until they release the books for the OTHER classes." |
