Polymorph Potion on Mate card
I was playing the original Munchkin with my wife and I used a Mate card on her monster which makes a copy of the monster. My wife then played Polymorph potion on top of the original Monster to take the treasures, and was going to fight the Mate Card.
My question is, if she played Polymorph Potion on the original Monster, wouldn't the mate card by nullified, and could she play a Polymorph Potion on a Mate card? Hope my question make sense. |

Re: Polymorph Potion on Mate card
Mate is a separate monster. It duplicates Monster Enhancers, not every single card that is played on the original monster. You can remove one monster and fight the other (and for the sake of simplicity, it's usually best to remove the Mate so you have the original monster to refer to).

Re: Polymorph Potion on Mate card
In order to simplify things, if you're going to use a card to instantly defeat a Monster that has Mate played on it, discard the Mate card. The Mate would still exist (it's a separate Monster, even if duplicates another in the combat), so this way, you don't have to remember what the Mate's stats should be.
