Re: [G4e] Playtesters Requested; Medieval High Fantasy Solo Quest
Will do! And, if anyone else wants to jump on for the ride, let me know. I've promised I'm going to "finish" this one (meaning at least a fully-playable game).
I'm working on it right now! https://i.ibb.co/PG4HSgN/Teaser-SS.jpg One thing, though. Basic Set, Magic, and Dungeon Fantasy 1-3 will all pretty well be required. You can probably get by with just the Basic Set, but there will probably be a few references here and there to Dungeon Fantasy. Like, I'm not going to reprint all the rules for kicking a door down. It can all be found spread around in the Basic Set, but not all in one concise paragraph such as the one in Dungeons, p. 8; so that's what I'll reference. EDIT (1-30-19): Progress report update—I can "walk around" all rooms in the first level. All rooms are populated. All traps are set and all treasure is laid. Need to make "Town" where the player can rest, heal, spend points, and buy equipment between levels; and write game-play and character creation rules, which includes turning my thoroughly play tested GCS template into written one. Very close to a rough draft. EDIT (1-31-19): I'm play-testing what I have with just one monster, to make sure that monster is balanced. After that, I'll add another monster. After that, I'll add one more for a total of three monster types (in seven rooms) on the first level. Once that is finished, I'll pass it on to a friend who will play test it. Stay tuned! https://i.ibb.co/DztRbHc/Teaser-2.jpg
