EM Pulse Shot Equivalents. Sorry if that wasn't clear; it was to provide how many shots the gun could fire given arbitrary ammunition.

EM Pulse: HT-5 stun aff, HT unconsciousness aff, only on electrical. Rcl 1. Uses 1 EMEqus.
22mm bullet: 5dx3(3) pi++. Rcl 3. 4 EMEqus, 0.25 lb. bullet. Loaded in 5(3) clips, with 25 EMEqus power. Usually linked with EM Pulse.
Thermal 22mm bullet: as 22mm bullet, but with 6d burn follow-up, 6 Cell EMEqus. No EM Pulse linkage.
Needles/Multi-Flechette: 1d+2 pi-. MF has armor divisor of 3. 100/250 range. Rcl 1. ROF 3x15. 4 EMEqus, 0.3 lb. bullet. Multi-Flechette can be loaded into clips, Needles must be muzzleloaded.
Iron Sand: 1d-2 pi-. 200/500 range. Rcl 1. ROF 3x70. 4 EMEqus, 0.3 lb. bullet. Must be muzzleloaded.
Disruption 22mm (Low Power): 22mm bullet but pi+, 9 EMEqus, and linked with 1d(10) cor.
Disruption 22mm (Var Power): 22mm bullet but [Lower N pi+, High N pi-, Medium N pi], 4+5N EMEqus, and linked with Nd(10) cor.
Disruption 22mm (Max Power): 22mm bullet but pi-, 44 EMEqus, and linked with 8d(10) cor. [This would bore a hole through reinforced concrete (12 DR/inch), assuming maximum damage rolled, before the bullet. If steel is the material to be bored through, it would need a damage of 40d.]
I was writing something up to, ended up broadly the same, Had the disruption round trading off between increasing the armor divisor and adding linked damage. I had the R.O.F. lower but that was mainly for the retro feel, adding the note about maintenance covers that though. (as does EMEqus numbers)

Notes:
Poor maintenance reduces R.O.F.
Can fire the equivalent of 25mm grenades (functioning at TL 9 effectiveness due to size reduction) (Flares, Gas, Liquid, HE, memory baton, possibly others)
Range longer in vacuum
Can fire in almost any environment.

Working off of that, I've searched the entire thread, and apparently nowhere has the TL of the setting been defined yet. My opinion would be to place it around late TL9, at least for personnel weapons, considering Black Bess is a new sort of weapon, with an inferior firing rate compared to most EM guns in ultra-tech.

My oops there, I had pegged the setting at TL 9 or 10 for weapons and my write up of the Black Bess had that in it. I then got beaten to the post about the Black Bess stats and copy pasted the Notes section from my write up. The TL 9 comment was mainly a way of setting exactly how effective the 22mm grenade is. So regardless of the exact TL the grenades function like TL9 25mm grenades.

also added detail to post 103 to bring the A.I. in line with comments from post 104

Yup, no one's asked that question yet.

Maybe TL10 for ship design and space stations, especially for materials for things like beanstalks and sky hooks. TL10-11 for terraforming, or superscience, as there's a large number of shirtsleeve worlds, or otherwise ignore it as a handwaved setting feature.

Question 65 by TGLS
Is there lots of strain between the two "new" species (Wren Ti and Kagoshi) and the big three?

Part one, Wren Ti

Big three being the humanoid species?

Humans and the Wren Ti have a large amount of bad blood to get over, the Divergers who sold the Wren Ti into slavery traded initially on mixed species and human worlds. As a result a majority of freed Wren Ti consider Humans to be the enemy. A large minority of Human governments are sending aid to the Wren Ti, some however are doing their best to displace the blame for the whole incident by passing it of to the lawyers and spin doctors. To the Wren Ti's mentality these diversion tactics are particularly abhorrent.

Divergers are deeply split over the Wren Ti, many Diverger factions are very pro liberty. These factions are doing their best to distance them selves from the Diverger faction responsible, the now fracturing "Nova Impera" faction who use biotechnology servitors when ever possible.

The Sulth where never particularly fond of pets with implants so the Wren Ti fad only lightly effected them. Their lower G environments, spacious ships and habitats do appeal to the Wren Ti's preferences. The Sulth have adapted a number of their race to serve as ambassadors with appearance being tweaked and their rear limbs being modified into wings. They have made available a number of vessels for the transport of the Wren Ti

The Grand Cykoi Parliament will hear the Wren Ti issue 11 moons hence. The Lesser Parliament has issued a provisional suggestion of behavior, requesting the centralized collection of Wren Ti for transportation to a holding facility pending a decision.

Several Rhii Skepp have formed a fleet with the purpose of attacking the Divergers responsible (and taking their stuff) in the name of the Wren Ti. Several other Rhii Skepp are forming a fleet for the purpose of getting the money they paid for mineral rights on the Wren Ti home world back off the colonization company.

The Akriti never had too much to do with the Wren Ti as the Wren Ti can't exist in the their environment. They are proposing to lease some of the Wren Ti's home world's oceans as a gesture of good will.

Xylysus in general are very much pro Wren Ti, they have some sympathy due to their own situation. However the Wren Ti find the Xylysus off putting due to a passing resemblance to a predator on their world. Never the less the Xylysus are committing resources to help.

Big three being a misprint, should have been the big nine species that started interstellar travel before contact with a star-faring species.

Question 68
Hoang GalSec are known by merchant spacers and jump traders for their regular security bulletins, based on intel gained from their extensive network of observers and investigative journalists.
What other services do Hoang GalSec provide? And where can you contact them?
They also handle secure mail services (encryption by one-time pad), safe deposit boxes, anti-piracy services, news and other media dispersal, and the promotion of good hygiene. They have offices on every planet with over 100 million people, though few on the smaller planets. Many planets have less formal offices based out of spacer clubs, general offices set up by one of many organizations that are generally patronized by spacer types.

Questions as they stand:
Question 61 by Daigoro
How easy is it to detect an incoming jump? And how much warning is there beforehand, i.e. how long beforehand is it noticeable?

Question 63 (finished?) by ericthered
What extraterrestrial pets and pests are commonly seen throughout the galaxy?

Question 65 (revised) by TGLS
Is there lots of strain between the Kagoshi and the big nine?

Question 69 by (E)
What kind of implants and/or modifications does the typical human spacefarer have? What about other divergers and other races?

Question 71 (new) by TGLS
What's a big new fad?

Question 65 by TGLS, part 2
Is there lots of strain between the Kagoshi and the big nine?

It is currently fashionable for higher status CyKoi to employ Kagoshi as servants and the Kagoshi Government is trying to put a stop to this as the demand is reducing the Kagoshi worlds workforce as the higher pay offered by the CyKoi is too tempting for many.

The Sulth personalities seem to clash on an individual level with the Kagoshi and inter-species violence is common if seldom lethal. The Kagoshi frequently take offense to the Sulth habit of adapting their appearance.

While there is some tension between the Main human governments and Kagoshi they are popular when the visit human dominated worlds. The Kagoshi government is seen as somewhat "grasping" by human politicians. The Divergers in general are forward in building relationships with the Kagoshi.

The Kagoshi in general find the Xylysus patronizing, the Xylysus are curious about the Biology of the Kagoshi as they seem the most similar sentient species to their old biological forms.

Due to differences in habitat the Akriti interact less frequently with the Kagoshi on an individual basis with most exchanges being business related. The two governments have a cordial relationship.

The Rhii and the Kagoshi don't relate terribly well, armed conflicts have occurred but only on small scales so far.

The Chetai enjoy testing their reactions against those of the Kagoshi and are frequently seen doing so in bars and gaming establishments in ports through out the galaxy. The two governments have little formal business at this stage.

The Mar Kan individually are initially quite territorial when meeting Kagoshi, but once this stage is passed things are quite amicable. The two species are currently at odds over the settlement of the Mar Rag Jan Kan system.

The Enclave Worm Undermind has allowed Kagoshi occupation on several of its colonies.

Question 72
What do you know about the mixed species system of Vather?

Fragment of Quantum fractal parasite safety briefing: If you don't have access to a short range disruptor, you only have two options left, getting to real gravity or freezing the emerging clusters and freezing them only stops them for a short while.
The Big Nine
