Modular hexes kickstarter
Ostensibly for hexcrawls, there is a new kickstarter for magnetic hexes for whiteboards.
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...lorer/comments They are slightly smaller than the hex tiles we’ve got, but who isn’t happy to see more hex-love. Check it out! |

Re: Modular hexes kickstarter
This looks excellent; I backed at a high level.
TFT doesn't really have an implied scale or hexes outside of the tactical combat game, so the fact that these are slightly smaller than 1.5" is not an issue. And the difference really is slight, so you might not even notice if you did use these to make flexible exterior spaces (though this really isn't the intent; these are meant to be used to make larger scale maps). But the main thing is that TFT doesn't really have official materials that support table top play at the scale of exploration and travel, and these tiles would do so in a way that will work a lot like the MH tiles. They even have a visual look a bit like the new map of Dran and the Scarg's play mat. I'm inspired to use this as an excuse to tidy up my house rules for turn-based exploration and travel play! |

Plus, I love projects by small groups of creative gamers who come together to innovate and fill a niche for their fellow gamers. Such projects deserve support. This is such a project, and I hope you’ll support it, too.
