Card strategy question
Just want to put this out there, I still won without using this. Lol but it was a heavy debate I felt I needed an answer to anyways.
Player one has this card activated: Fake beard- card text removed Player two has this card in hand: Drawf tossing- card text removed Can player two use the "dwarf tossing" card on player one in a monster fight because he is acting as a "dwarf"? I said yes, the monster is going to react as if he's a dwarf because that's what the card says. I was told no, because "we" as players know he isn't a dwarf and that it falls under "other dwarf abilities". I rebuttaled that it wasn't an ability, the "abilities" they are speaking of is more on the lines of how dwarfs are able to use more than one "big item". Can someone clarify or correct? Re: Card strategy question
The wearer of the Fake Beard is not a Dwarf, so you would not be able to toss him.

Re: Card strategy question
Brf is correct. Also, please do not quote card text on these forums.

Re: Card strategy question
If player one kicked down the door and faced a monster that targeted dwarfs, he would be effected. So therefore seen as a Drawf. I feel that's just the downfall of the card. You get one perk which the card allows you but no other major perks "abilities". Yet you open yourself up for things such as "Drawf tossing".
I know he's not a dwarf but the monster I'm putting him up against doesn't. And that's what The card says. |

Re: Card strategy question
Dwarf Tossing implies picking up a Dwarf and throwing him into the combat as an improvised weapon. That card does not affect Monster reactions. Therefore, no, the Fake Beard does not have the effect of making the character a Dwarf such that someone of the party suddenly thinks he can pick the character up and throw him into the combat.

Re: Card strategy question
It's a creative thought and I admire the ingenuity behind it . . . but I agree with the ruling. Dwarf Tossing only works on real Dwarves.

Re: Card strategy question
Thank you, I just looked at is as a deep strategy. Thanks I guess for clearifying. Although it wasn't the answer I was hoping for...lol
