It was mentioned elsewhere that the cover is new.

As was announced in the Kickstarter, its getting a softcover printing. Most GURPS PDFs that have gotten softcover printings have been updated with the full color cover (for some reason Tactical Shooting is an exception; no idea why).

None of the content changed. (It's feasible that a line shifted here or there, or we corrected a typo somewhere I forgot, but otherwise the text is all the same.)
Obviously it includes the new front and back cover for the color printing (as noted in the Dungeon Fantasy Roleplaying Game Kickstarter . . . back it today!). Its credits were also updated with most-recent info. And the page numbers now appear in alternate corners, like other print items. |

Re: What changed in the updated version of How To Be a GURPS GM?
All of the pieces are reuses, although AFAIK three of them originated in relatively recent Pyramid covers.
Starting at 12 O'Clock on the front cover. Martial Arts, p. 227 Martial Arts p. 235 Monsters (3e) cover Pyramid 3/82 cover Fantasy, p. 83 (mirrored) Pyramid 3/83 cover (centerpiece) Back Cover left to right: Pyramid 3/85 cover Supers Mixed Doubles (3e) cover Martial Arts, p. 161 The Monsters and Mixed Doubles pieces also appeared on the Basic Set covers. The bottom right piece on the back cover was also featured on the Mass Combat cover. All three of the Pyramid Covers appear to be part of some multi-cover deal with Brandon Moore where the covers are also included as a full page within the magazine with no overlay text (good for printing/framing) as well as a short blurb directing people to Brandon's website.

I like the GURPS Themed Adventure ad in the back. I think it's a good idea to show newcomers that GURPS has strong support for some....well, I guess they're calling them adventure themes.
