With the ongoing downfall of D&D following the fiasco of the new OGL, would it not be a good moment to try to implement a Powered by GURPS initiative that tries to fill this void?
Perhaps making a "GOL" (Generic Open Licence) powered by GURPS and getting more people to the best RPG system that there is. What are your thoughts on that, I wonder. Vinicius Watzl |

Any initivie takes time so I wouldn't expect anything to happen or even be announced soon if they decided to do it. In the GURPS forums there is another thread on a 5E and an open license so you might want to check those out. Any such OGL probably should not be called "Powered by GURPS" as that would confuse and distract from the current and past Powered by products. I think "Compatible with GURPS" is a better word choice, though not the best I haven't thought of better yet.

I've been plugging TFT at various discussion sites talking about the ongoing OGL developments. Gotta agree, D&D isn't simply going to go away anytime soon. Still, I'd rather TFT anytime.

Still: _TFT_ has its charms. Certainly plays faster.... .>;)
