they are all correct. The ones with higher Rcl and mag weight are because tungsten or uranium bullets are heavier than jacketed lead, and those are less controllable because they're higher momentum. So the mag weights are actually calcuated by taking a cartridge weight x capacity + base empty mag. The Rcl got boosted for heavier bullets; lacking a formula, I just made a decision.

One TL 9+ accessories I've wanted to see for pistols is the integral, expanding pistol stock. So your pistol can fit nicely into its holster for easy carrying, but the stock can then with say a single ready (or maybe even a fast draw roll) spring out and ta da! You've got a nifty pistol + pistol stock with the Acc bonus and the All Important switch to using Guns (Rifle) (which most characters I've seen have higher than their Guns (Pistol))

High Tech only has stats for them up to TL 7, I figure by TL 9 they might be getting close to say .1 lbs or something, and ready (or free action with fast draw) seems plausible since Folding Stocks are a thing and are a ready maneuver

Sunday was GunDay on Gaming Ballistic, and I looked at GURPS' selection of Ultra-Tech pistols for the "near" future: TL9.

Still, I thought I could do better with more careful consideration, and so here I present one possible direction to go for a futuristic pistol design.

Copyright for my ammo design belongs to me, so if Remington or Winchester wants to chat . . . I'm here. :-)

I present the 5.9x30mm CLTA, featuring Hampton Industries base-expanding high penetration pistol ammunition (BEHP).

But this week, I noted that my “Precis” descriptions were not getting uploaded into my GURPSDay feed. I checked, and they were formatted correctly.

What gives?

Welcome to the second year of GURPSDay, and here’s the weekly pull for you guys.

We’re currently drawing content from 82 blogs. Only 18 more to go until we’re pulling from 100! But we’ll need your help.

How? Two action items: post more, recruit more. It’s really that simple. More posters is more posts, and more interest in GURPS.

Below you can find the blog activity for the last week. There’s a whole lotta awesome GURPS going on. Read all 41 posts as of 7:30am CST.

Special training style for developing arrests. (I crack myself up). Anyway, SJGames forumite Icelander used GURPS Martial Arts: Technical Grappling's "Passive Restraint" style as the basis for more focused study of the art of subduing folks for arrest at the hands of police. Thanks to him for the interest in Technical Grappling and the modified martial arts style, reproduced here for your consumption!

I've been busy helping turn an industrial space into a viking longhouse this weekend, so here's a bit of general musing that came to me while I was pondering the 'keyed monster list.'

Think about why your wandering monsters are wandering, and tweak such encounters to taste.

I continue looking at the slugthrowers of GURPS Ultra-Tech, moving from pistols to the SMG/PDW category. I take a look at what the book gives, suggesting other options and design points, with stats.

There have been a few posts recently on the SJG Forums that have brought up Technical Grappling. While my old Blogger site had a nifty index page for all my grappling posts and their titles, called The Grappling Mat, this one doesn’t. At least not yet.

But I did want to lay down the various things I’ve written that might be helpful, so
