munchkin quest + munchkin cards?

can anyone confirm if its possible to use munchkin cards in munchkin quest? the monster cards look like they could be used, can any others? or it that a negative to both of these and its a standalone game only?

The games aren't compatible without a whole host of house rules -- and the cards are different sizes, anyway.
